**Our client is a leading independent firm of accountants, tax, audit and business advisers. They now have an opportunity for a new Audit Manager to help with the completion of a range of technical client work, as well as managing relationships andactivity for a portfolio of the company’s clients.**

**About the role**

This role would suit a diligent individual with management experience, looking for a new role with the opportunity for supporting continued improvement. The Audit Manager will take ownership of internal work and quality processes, as well as client accountingand auditing assignments.

**Key aspects of the role include**:

- Planning and budgeting assignments, including monitoring progress and reviews;
- Supporting detailed work where necessary and dealing with client correspondence;
- Ensuring quality assurance procedures are maintained with client work;
- Assisting with billing, debt collection and write-offs, as well asstaff chargeable hours;
- Setting staff standards, objectives, appraisals and training needs;
- Monitoring technical developments and identifying marketing opportunities for additional services to new and existing clients.

**The ideal person**

They will be able to encourage other team members with a positive approach, as well as a strong communicator, good at sharing knowledge with others.
