We are looking for a Production Controller to join our Submarine Supply Chain Planning and Control team in Derby.

In this role you will be the single point of contact for planning capacity across an identified group of workcentres and to operate effective relationships with other roles that participate in planning activity across the supply chain.

You will ensure that the production plan meets all customer requirements at optimal efficiency, and that the executive planning system reflects agreed planning parameters and is used to measure performance to plan, and that corrective actions are identified and taken, to correct issues and mitigate risks.

**What you will be doing**:
With this exciting opportunity your main responsibilities will include:

- Plans capacity for a defined suite of work centres and ensures that production is sequenced through those work centres in accordance with the material plan.
- Works with Production Leaders to ensure production is in accordance with the plan and works dynamically to resolve issues to ensure the best overall outcome for the business.
- Production Controller considers cell performance against planning parameters when planning and ensures key P&C performance factors are measured and used in decision making (e.g. lead time adherence, on time launch, on time finish)
- Ensures that the executive planning system reflects the physical disposition of WIP by communicating all discrepancies with the material owning Production Controller

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

- Educated to degree level or relevant suitable equivalent experience
- Manufacturing and Supply Chain Planning & Control experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage deliveries and make balanced business decisions under challenging circumstances
- Working knowledge of and experience with MRP and/or ERP systems.
- MS Office or equivalent working skills.
