- **Process & Mechanical Supervisor?**
We are currently looking for a Plant Supervisor at one of our Production Facility around the UK, that will provide support as well at various Satellite plants located on our customer sites around the plant location. The role will report directly to the Plant Manager and will be crucial to ensuring the safe, legal, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of the production plant and associated satellite plants.

**Scope of the role**:

- Act as the Plant Manager’s representative in absence of Plant Management, and on-site Air Products representative to internal & external contacts, services, authorities & customers at the Facility and Satellites.
- Work as part of the operating team alongside the Operating Service Centre (OSC) to ensure safe, efficient and reliable execution of all aspects of plant operation, on the local (mother) plant and its associated satellite plants.
- Be primarily responsible for all aspects of safety, health, Quality and environmental compliance, site security, and mechanical maintenance.
- Be responsible for the planning and execution of routine maintenance as designated by SAP and non-routine maintenance as and when required at the production facility and the satellite plants.
- Share responsibilities with the Operating Service Centre (OSC) for operation, optimisation, productivity and best practice replications locally.
- Provide out of hours assistance for plant & satellite emergencies and operational/maintenance issues on a call-out basis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring all work is carried out following our EHS procedures including safety work permit issuing
- Ensuring Compliance with preventative maintenance requirements for Facility & Satellites as defined by the trade;
- Resolving Trade specific & process related issues and breakdowns on site & at satellites;
- Carry out, organize and supervise routine maintenance activities & rectification of defects in a timely manner;
- Actively participate in the planning and execution of planned major maintenance activities, such as plant shutdowns;
- Meet production requirements through operating the process equipment;
- Work alongside OSC operators as required as the on-site local team representative;
- Operating the plant when not in OSC control and Conducting local plant shut down and start up of the site and satellites when required.
- Management of the stock of spare parts and equipment held on site and accurate stock management of the bin locations via SAP.
- Maintaining meticulous record keeping and completing the administrative elements of the role timely and accurately (such as SAP & plant logs).
- Ensure all work is within compliance to external standards ISO14001, ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO45001, GMP/GDP, FSSC22000
- Training of apprentices and new supervisors

**Job Requirements**
- Minimum Level 3 external qualification in Engineering or Completion of recognised apprenticeship or proven skills in this area. (electrical/mechanical/instrument)
- Level 4/5 engineering qualification preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Good interpersonal & team working skills is crucial to working in a small team size.
- Good communication and customer facing skills (in dealing with Customers, Regulatory bodies, OSC operators).
- Proactive and Self motivated with a positive attitude to deliver results.
- To be able to work alone on occasions when on site and at the satellites.
- Ability to work under pressure and in an extremely busy environment particularly during major plant turn around maintenance activities.
- Extensive knowledge of the process and equipment operations they are responsible for (e.g. HYCO, ASU, HPN, VSA, Helium PG, Pipelines, including individual electrical equipment operation)
- Strong communication skills across cross-functional teams.
- IT literate with experience of SAP and Microsoft Office programs
