**Shunting Operations Planner Required **Streamline Search Ltd are actively working with a highly reputable and well-established multimodal logistics company. They are now seeking a Shunting Operations Planner for their new Rail Operation in Daventry. The Shunting Operations Planner will play a crucial role in planning shunting activities at the terminal during the night shift.
**(Shunting Operations Planner - Nights) - Position Overview**
- Develop and execute efficient shunting plans for the rail terminal during night operations.
- Coordinate the movement of shunters, ensuring timely and safe shunting of trains.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel.
- Utilise experience in rail terminal operations to optimise shunting plans and resolve any operational challenges.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with shunters, train operators, and other relevant personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Create schedules for shunting activities, considering train arrivals and departures.
- Address operational issues, delays, and unexpected events by quickly devising and implementing solutions.
- Generate daily reports on shunting activities, operational performance, and any incidents.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shunting operations and planning.
**(Shunting Operations Planner - Nights) - Position Requirements**
- Previous experience in rail terminal operations is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in rail operations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work during night shifts and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in using computer software for planning and record-keeping.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
**(Shunting Operations Planner - Nights) - Position Remuneration**
- Salary: £35,000.00 - £40,000.00
- 4 on 4 of shift pattern (6pm - 6am night shifts)
