As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, the post holder will provide a specialised role in the development and implementation of services and care pathways for children and young people with mental health [CYPMH] problems within the THRIVE Framework for service delivery.

The Post Holder will provide a core element of the service for children and adolescents within the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) Pathway Team, part of Bolton Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

**The role will include the following**:

- ADHD monitoring clinics
- to monitor progress and medication.
- Involvement in the ADHD Assessment Clinic Sessions, and there to conduct direct and indirect structured assessments of the young people presenting for assessment and treatment, conduct semi-structured interviews with family members with a specific focus on neurodevelopment, preparing agreed assessment reports.
- Fixed Method Incremental trials of medication and review sessions
- Advice to parents on behavioural management including challenging behaviours at home, sleep and other problems.
- Support to parents and young people seeking help between clinic appointments or when in crisis.
- Close liaison with schools in relation to children and adolescents progress at school and response to medication
- Involvement on the Psychoeducational and behavioural group for children, young people and to assist in the running of therapeutic groups to address the needs of the client and family around ADHD. families within the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) Pathway Team.
- Close liaison with future THRIVE partners involved in the support for children, young people and families within the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
