We’re currently looking for a Special Projects Lead. We offer a flexible approach to working between home and our office in Portsmouth. This is a full-time, permanent position working 37 hours per week with a minimum of 20% of this to be office based to promote collaboration and team working within the Planned Works team and other colleagues across the business.

**Here’s the facts about the role**:
As Special Projects Lead, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that the Major Works programme of works is delivered as planned to time, budget, specification & compliant with regulations. The role will include management of both the programme of works and a team to deliver what is required.

The role will include all aspects of project and programme management including planning of works, risk management, delivery, contract management, H&S and handover of completed works. This will also include ensuring CDM requirements are fulfilled and works are delivered safely with all CDM roles clearly identified and documented.

You’ll work with the Major Works Manager to develop programme of work for each financial year taking into account business targets, resources available in terms of time, budget and personnel. As such, we’re looking for someone with confident in project delivery and is conscious of customer engagement, ensuring that works delivered are done so to the highest standard, not forgetting that our assets are people’s homes.

Ideally, you’ll hold a construction related qualification (HNC/HND) and Project Management qualification (APM/Prince2). Or have relevant experience delivering planned programmes or work, or projects. You'll be able to manage contracts well and have strong H&S knowledge. It’s vital that you have an excellent understanding of the social housing environment, including regulation and emerging government policy and experience in a housing or construction related management role.

**Due to the nature of this role, you’ll need a full driving licence with a car available for business use.**
