Major Healthcare is a specialist recruitment consultancy, providing quality permanent, contract and temporary staffing solutions to clients from our wide network of UK offices.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Ward Manager to join our multidisciplinary team based near Wembley. You will be working with adults who have a wide range of mental health problems. We also offer specialist diagnostic, assessment and inpatientservices for individuals with mental health needs and who have a dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

**Key Responsibilities but not restricted too**:

- Providing strong and robust leadership in the clinical environment using the core skills of facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, teaching and delegation.
- Have the overall management responsibility for the delivery of service user centred care within the ward, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Supporting the implementation of local Clinical Governance Strategy.
- Lead a team of nursing staff in the delivery of a holistic high quality evidence-based practice providing clinical leadership to staff and patients and ensuring a high level of clinical governance whilst delivering an excellent quality of service.
- Manage operational resources in a cost-effective manner, constantly reviewing and evaluating the standard of service delivered.
- Work in line with all organisational policies/procedures, values and beliefs and direct the staff team to ensure they do the same.
- Ensuring updated and relevant clinical and administration policies, protocols & procedures to ensure that these are accessible to all staff.
- Keeping costs and expenditure within agreed budgetary limits.
- Devise duty rotas to ensure that staffing levels are adequate to meet the needs of the ward and that staff are appropriately qualified to carry out the duties required of them. Those duty rotas remain within budget whilst allocating annual leave and coveringother absences as required.
- Prepare written reports for clinical reviews and to contribute to case conference reports.
- Understand and adhere to all security requirements for the service, including attending/delivering training when required.
- Ensure a high standard of nursing care during procedures and treatments including the safe storage, administration and recording of medicines in accordance with Legislation, organisational and local policies and NMC Code of professional Conduct.
- Valid NMC Pin Number
- Demonstrates an understanding of person centred care
- Experience working within secure hospitals and at senior level
- Excellent communication skills, empathy, team player

**Salary for this role is up to £44,000 depending on experience plus additional benefits.**
