**About the role**

As a Trainee Bid Writer you will shadow our Contract Managers and contribute to the professional management of fleet services. You will provide support to the team by ensuring our tender library is kept up to date, collating information from various internal departments and producing strong business responses to opportunities.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to learn all aspects of bid writing and tender processes within the automotive industry. With such a diverse range of potential clients, every day is different and will bring its own unique set of challenges.

No previous experience in the role is required however an understanding of tender processing would be a benefit.

**Day-to-day duties**
- Work directly with our departmental management teams to compile tender submissions
- Track all bid and tender activity and outcomes via our online tracking software
- Create engaging and compelling bid responses
- Assist our Contract Manager to manage and develop the PQQ and tender bid library, ensuring continuous improvement of the process
- Manage contractual requirements during the life of the contract
- Monitor tender portals
- Identify tender opportunities

**Essential skills**
- Highly results focussed and commercially aware, you'll need to think creatively, have the ability to understand client requirements and tailor solutions
- High level of computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office)
- A positive, can-do attitude where no task is too much trouble
- Able to work both independently and part of a team
- A desire to learn
- The ability to cope with pressure while being flexible

Knowledge of our products would be beneficial, but we will make sure you are given the appropriate training.
