**Network Rail High Speed - Section Administrator**

It’s an exciting time to be joining Network Rail High Speed. We are making the biggest fundamental change to our business in its history as we look to modernise and deliver an even more sustainable and high performing high speed railway than we already have today.

We are looking for a Section Administrator who will provide accurate, efficient and effective administrative support to the Line Manager and the Infrastructure Directorate. The role will work as directed or use their own initiative as the situation demands in a truly unique business that brings the UK closer to the world.

**Who we are**

Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is responsible for operating and maintaining the UK’s only international high-speed railway, High Speed (HS1).

The 109km HS1 infrastructure consists of a diverse range of railway assets such as the track, signalling, overhead line, lineside buildings, depots, viaducts, and long tunnels. NRHS is also responsible for operating and maintaining three international stations; St Pancras, Ebbsfleet and Stratford International stations.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, NRHS is privately financed under an agreement with our client ‘HS1 Ltd’, undertaking a diverse range of activities from railway infrastructure maintenance and operations through to station facilities management and retail on behalf of our client.

**Overview of the role**

The Section Administrator is a critical role that proactively supports the Infrastructure Directorate and the wider business with all administrative type duties and responsibilities. This will include but is not limited to taking minutes, organising and attending meetings, ordering supplies, running system reports and printing documentation.

Experience of clerical support and office management

Excellent time management

Knowledge of relevant IT systems and software packages

Ability to work on own initiative

Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills

Desirable

Knowledge of operational railway environment

**The important stuff**:
The role will be based at Singlewell Infrastructure Maintenance Depot Nr Gravesend in Kent however, frequent travel to our other office and site locations along the High Speed line may be expected.
