UK AML, Sanctions and Police Liaison QA and Training Associate

**About this role**

Protecting the business against financial crime is at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for someone to join us as a Quality Assurance (QA) and training associate to provide high quality training and coaching to the UK AML Team and to complete in-depth quality assurance reviews on all AML, Police Liaison and Sanctions workstreams. The role will be integral in ensuring that the business meets AML compliance requirements by supporting the UK AML team in maintaining high quality and in depth investigations.

**What you’ll do**

**Training Support**
- Establish and maintain a structured training plan for new AML
- investigators
- Provide training to new AML investigators and ongoing support
- throughout the training process
- Manage all AML training and signoff documentation
- Provide ad hoc and refresher training to existing AML investigators to address process changes, areas of poor performance or as required
- Provide targeted coaching to increase performance and efficiency
- Run department calibration sessions and case surgery sessions as required
- Create and maintain training materials and guidance documentation

**Quality Assurance**
- Complete QA on AML and Sanctions work streams
- Complete monthly control checks to ensure documentation and processes have been accurately completed
- Provide QA feedback to investigators and updates to management
- Communicate monthly results to investigators and managers
- Ensure all QA remediation is completed
- Ensure all QA process documentation is maintained
- Conduct NPS monitoring (Non Promotion of Signals) as required

**QA of the QA Checks**
- Complete QA of the QA checks
- Report and feedback of errors to AML Principal Associate

**AML Training Completion Monitoring**
- Review and monitoring of AML training completion across Capital One UK
- Completion of annual AML CBT content
- Reporting and feedback of errors to AML Principal Associate

**Suspicious Activity Reporting**:

- Decision Suspicious Activity reports on behalf of the MLRO
- In conjunction with the AML Programme Principal Associate ensure all SAR’s are decisioned accurately and within process timeframes
- Provide feedback to investigators on SAR quality and areas for improvement

**What we’re looking for**
- In an area of high regulatory scrutiny, this role requires associates to demonstrate the highest level of integrity, discretion and commitment to AML as a career
- Previous training and coaching experience is essential
- Previous quality assurance or testing experience would be desirable, but not essential
- An analytical nature, focus and attention to detail are essential
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team, and meet strict deadlines

**Where and how you'll work**

This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham offices.

We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.

We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
