**Responsibilities**:
Key Responsibilities:

- The Team Leader will take ownership of all manufacturing processes of any job assigned by the Production Lead.
- Be responsible for ensuring all agreed workmanship quality standards are achieved.
- Be responsible for ensuring the agreed delivery milestones are achieved in accordance with Master Production Schedule.
- Be responsible for implementation and adherence to safe working practices throughout the entire manufacturing process, this includes liaising with Manufacturing engineering on design issues and the stores when expediting the allocation of materials of in build projects.
- Responsible for maintaining agreed shopfloor housekeeping standards.
- Make recommendations for the utilisation of jigs, fixtures and production tooling to optimise the manufacturing process to Manufacturing Engineering.
- Operate in accordance with the requirements of ISO9001 audited quality system.
- Conduct return to work interviews as and when required.
- Ensure their team maintain appropriate timekeeping standards required by the business in collaboration with the production lead and production manager.

Experience & Attributes:

- Because of the specific nature of both product and processes it is essential that this individual has an excellent grasp of mechanical and electrical manufacturing principles.
- Good understanding of electrical and mechanical assembly and test methods.
- The appointed individual must continually strive for excellence of quality and must have the correct mind-set to grasp issues surrounding manufacturing processes.
- Experience of complex mechanical and electrical assemblies is required.
- Ability to occasionally work extended and/or unsociable hours

**Qualifications**:

- Practical experience and specific product knowledge is considered significantly more important than formal qualifications.
- Able to multi-task, plan accurately and subsequently adhere to that plan. The ability and experience of having delivered on time and to a specification is also a ‘must have’. Lead time focused to successfully and reliably meet targets and deadlines.
- In terms of personal attributes this individual must be a self-starter with the ability to organise and prioritise work, and to communicate clearly with all levels within the business.
