After probation, this role will become hybrid with up to 2 days a week from home.

My client is a growing legal firm, with offices across the South of England and a headcount approaching 4 figures. They have assigned us to seek a strong, credible HR Advisor, to fit into an existing HR team. This is a true generalist operational role, dealing with employee matters at all levels and able to manage cases through to completion. Additionally, you will also be happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved in projects and operational work as may be needed.

**What you’ll be doing**:
Working closely with managers on bringing employee relations matters to a positive conclusion, including: Disciplinary, Grievances, Performance Management
Sickness absence and Occupational Health
- Be the first point of contact for managers with 'people' matters.
- Conduct exit interviews
- Maintaining employee data within the HR System, to ensure the highest level of data integrity - running reports as necessary using Cascade
- Act as first line support for all employees through life events
- Working with the team to support the continuous improvement of key employee lifecycles
- Support with the maintenance and development of the People team sharepoint pages - ensuring that annual policy reviews take place as required.
- Support the HR Business Partner with the management of Consultants / IR35 audits in line with the firm’s compliance policies.

- Sound working knowledge of employment law
- Ability to work in a remote capacity and under own direction - you can think one step ahead and think on your feet.
- Confident to challenge and push back where necessary
- Experience of the Performance Management Cycle including disciplinary, capability and grievance processes.
- Knowledge and experience of HR software including HR Databases, employee’s self-service portals, etc.
- A strong commercial mindset - you’ll take a pragmatic approach to your work.
- Has driving license and own vehicle to be able to reach other offices.
