**Our Opportunity**

The position of an Overheads Controller is to provide professional financial support to the HDV Reporting & Control Manager, Functional Controllers and Function Managers. The role will involve liaising with various stakeholders through the business to understand, challenge and report the overheads and headcount of the business. You will be involved in month end, budgeting and forecasting. You will play a pivotal role in providing accurate, timely and reliable overhead and cost information and analysis to senior management, along with supporting analysis and commentary to help aid their decision making.

**Key Responsibilities and Tasks**:

- Lead monthly overhead, headcount and DLU (Direct Labour Utilisation) reviews with department managers, ensure control of overhead costs, comparisons between actual and budget, defining actions and ensuring resolutions. Ensure details are documented to comply with Internal Compliance Questionnaire (ICQ) requirements.
- Challenge managers with regards to financial performance against targets, budgets and KPIs and support action setting and decision making.
- Responsible for the preparation and review of monthly Cost By Nature (CBN) and Functional Cost Report (FCR) reports, including commentary and analysis as may be requested by Group, UK or business management.
- Support the overhead multi-year budget (MYB) process.
- Support the overhead reforecasting process and preparation of regular rolling headcount forecast
- Provide information on headcount evolution
- Provide specific analytical reports to cost centre managers.
- Calculation of MOD Rates and preparation of MOD Reporting
- Calculation of Internal Labour Rates
- Responsible for the preparation and posting of journal postings, including accruals, prepayments, corrections etc.
- Review of journal postings made by the Finance Shared Service centre (TBSS) and preparation of additional accruals or adjustments as required.
- Escalate risks and opportunities to the appropriate level of management in a timely manner.
- Ensure departmental deadlines and commitments are achieved.
- Ad hoc tasks, reporting and analysis as required by the cost centre managers, HDV Reporting & Control Manager, Function Controller and / or Finance Director.
- Support the preparation of monthly Business Operational Review (BOR) reporting pack, including commentary and analysis as may be requested by Group, UK or business management.

**About you**:

- Qualified / Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong analytical skills, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Robust and reliable, capable of implementing controls, changes and new systems.
- Solid Excel and financial modelling skills
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both within finance and across the wider business.
- Self-motivated person with the ability to work to tight deadlines both as part of a team and as an individual.
- Ability to deal with change and work in a continuously improving environment.
