**What you’ll do**

You’ll work in a fast-paced startup; so while we have built robust processes, you’ll get the opportunity to influence how we improve processes that will be pivotal in the success of Raylo.

**As Senior Buyer**:

- You will execute the purchasing strategy in line with the overall commercial strategy
- You will work with cross-functional teams to forecast demand in line with business targets.
- You will support range reviews, launches and promotions.
- You will work with finance to manage credit limits and budgets.
- You will drive continuous improvement and efficiency in our processes.
- You will develop and manage the buying team.
- You will stay current and up to date on market trends that may affect the supply or demand of products and advise stakeholders of any impact.

**You’ll succeed with**
- 5+ years of buying experience at a senior level, preferably at an FMCG business
- Exceptional communication with strong negotiation skills along with a strategic mindset
- The ability to analyse complex data and identify market trends that enable you to make informed decisions and influence suppliers
- A strong commercial acumen
- Being results-oriented - with a proven track record of achieving targets
- Great vendor and contract management ability with experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excelling in a fast-paced environment, and having the confidence to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong skills in MS Office, Google Suite - particularly Excel/Sheets.

**Nice to haves (but not essential)**
- Experience using/implementing ERP systems is desirable but not essential
- Experience using SQL, Big Query, DBT, and Looker is advantageous but not essential
- Startup/scaleup experience is desirable but not required.
- Degree-level education is preferred but not essential
