**Job Title: Team Administrator**

**Location: Andover Community Mental Health Team, 68B Junction Road, Andover, SP10 3QX**

**Hours: 37.5 hours per week 9-5 Mon-FrI**

**Trust Location: Southern Health**

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- To provide a comprehensive medical secretarial support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the CMHT clinical staff. Communicate with a range of internal and external professionals and organisations whilst providing good customer service experience for all patients at all times.
- Ensure a friendly and professional ethos within the team/department for patients and staff.
- To provide a comprehensive, timely and accurate secretarial support to the clinical staff based at the CMHT. Ensuring confidentiality of patient records is maintained according to Data Protection and Caldicott Guardianship guidelines and sensitively when dealing with contentious and complex information, liaising with other departments.
- Coordinate and organise actions arising from correspondence and ensure prompt and efficient response, as required, by the medical staff.
- Manage and prioritise own workload, arrange appointments, take, transcribe and type letters, arrange follow up actions as instructed, maintaining Consultant diaries to ensure a smooth and effective service, arranging for clinic lists to be available to reception staff before clinic commences and the retrieval of clinic lists at the end of the clinic, in line with the Trust key target timescales.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
- Communications skills
- both verbal and written
- Excellent telephone manner
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload
- Previous administrative experience
- Previous NHS experience
- NHS System Knowledge
