We are recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client for a Transport Planner/Scheduler. This is to work in their Hendy site. This is a full time role for an initial period of 6 months.

**What you would be doing as part of the role**:

- Optimising all programs of works maximising both volume and best economic source principals for transport and supplying units
- Providing timely communication to all stakeholders updates on planned solutions to program changes - overseeing daily and weekly programmes
- Supporting fleet, transport planners and weighbridge staff to ensure high levels of vehicle utilisation and low levels of haulier queries
- Ensuring that that our internal and external customers receive the high levels of service and communication expected from the office and area based distribution staff
- Managing material service levels to external and internal customers through detailed pre planning of programmed works through regular communication with strategic customers
- Build working relationships with customers
- Deal with stakeholders and customers of varying levels
- Experience in planning programmes of work
- Handling of inbound and outbound calls
- Processing customer’s orders
- Proactively chasing and inform of changes

You will need to have experience of planning and or scheduling in a similar field. Be organised and be able to multi task for this role.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £13.60 per hour
