**The opportunity**

We are looking for an **Associate** to strengthen our successful and growing **Business Solutions** team in our **Thames Valley** office. You will be joining a well-established, reputable and talented team who are jointly committed to providing the highest possible quality of service to a varied client portfolio.

The purpose of the role will be to provide an outstanding accounts preparation service to our clients in Business Solutions, Audit, Tax and Corporate Finance - ranging from SMEs through to large multi-national groups across all sectors, including not-for-profit.
- Some duties will include, but not limited to:_
- Preparation of statutory financial statements and consolidations for our varied client base (corporates, charities, academies). This will include clients that are being audited by external audit firms, as well as those being audited by Crowe U.K.
- Supporting the audit team in finalising statutory financial statement production as part of the audit process.
- Experience in the preparation of year end accounts from incomplete records through to final review stage.
- Basic preparation of Corporation Tax computations to review stage.
- Client VAT Return preparation
- Ad-hoc bookkeeping duties (in-house and/or onsite) for our clients using a range of accounting software as applicable.
- Preparation of periodical management accounts for our Accounts and Outsourcing clients and reporting in their required format.
- To be successful in the role, we’d expect you to demonstrate some of the below:_
- Good experience of accounts preparation, bookkeeping, preparation of management accounts, etc., demonstrating excellence when delivering these services in your career to-date
- A good understanding of accounting standards including FRS 102 (essential), IFRS (preferable) and Charity SORP (preferable).
- Experience of accounting software packages like Iris, Xero, Caseware, Sage, etc. as well as cloud-based accounting software apps and add-ons.
- Assisting managers and partners with ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Develop your understanding of the services that Crowe can offer and identify areas that a client could benefit from other services.
- Must be able to multi task in an organised manner.
- Highly organised, be used to managing a busy workload in an effective way, be a talented multi-tasker, have systems in place to help you ensure you’re staying productive.
- Excellence in your attitude to customer service and satisfaction. Listen to client’s needs. Be sympathetic where necessary and remain patient.
- Must be a team player, but also be able to manage and prioritise your workload independently.
