Group Financial Controller

Our client has sole UK distribution rights and is also an authorised European distributor for luxury fragrances.
Their business is growing year on year, and new and exciting products are constantly being added to the range.
Due to their continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Group Financial Controller, this is a newly created role so they would need someone who has been in a similar position and has the relevant experience and qualifications.
The role is based in the group's head office in Coventry, the group consists of two companies.
Key responsibilities:
- Day to Day running of the finance department, including managing a team of three.
- Responsibility for and control of the financial figures within the ERP system (SAGE) including all costs control
- Full responsibility for the production/review of Month End reporting pack to tight deadlines including Group reporting (both Co’s)
- Responsible for managing and developing the finance team
- Review of the month-end management pack with senior team members and the board.
- Responsibility for all areas of the balance sheet and knowledge of those accounts at all times
- Full knowledge of the financial processes which impact the accounts
- The main point of contact for the external parties (banks, auditors, etc)
- Responsibility for all areas of tax
- Production of financial reports as necessary (banks specific rather than monthly MI)
- Ad-hoc reporting as requested by team members especially in with regard to cost-saving opportunities
- Improvements within all financial processes
- Responsibility for daily cash flow
The Successful Applicant
- Ideally Qualified - ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- "Can-do" attitude, who can get amongst the weeds
- Advanced Excel skills
- Self-organised and reach deadlines without the need for management intervention
- Proven track record of seeing projects/tasks through to completion
This role would suit a real team player who is always looking for new ways to drive efficiencies or improve processes. You must have excellent written and verbal skills as your voice will be heard.
