Job Summary:
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts. They will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting processes are in place in line with group requirements. The successful candidate will support the Financial Controller to provide the Senior Leadership Team with information required to monitor financial targets set for the business and to accurately interpret business results on a continuous basis to identify potential issues to address or opportunities to pursue to enhance the operating profit of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting processes are in place in line with group requirements.
- Support the Financial Controller to provide the Senior Leadership Team with information required to monitor financial targets set for the business and to accurately interpret business results on a continuous basis to identify potential issues to address or opportunities to pursue to enhance the operating profit of the business.
- Manage the finance relationship with CCFC including raising and reconciling invoices as well as tracking costs within the venue.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations of designated areas.
- Support in developing the financial business strategy and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
- Carry out budget analysis with designated regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
- Review and prepare quarterly forecasts with department heads.
- Support with audit process and liaise with external personnel.
- Drive quality business partnering through preparation and tracking of capital expenditure within the venue and track the short and long term return on investment.
- Preparation of service charge accounts to keep the arena compliant with legal requirements.
- Support the preparation of year end statutory accounts.
- Contribute to company financial strategy.
- Undertaking financial analysis and reporting.
- Conduct any other financial function inline with the department to support the wider department & company.
- Perform any reasonable task or duty which is asked of the line manager or senior team.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) - Essential.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 1 years financial qualified experience
- Have worked in similar industry or venue - Desirable.
- Experience of using Netsuite finance package - Desirable.
- Experience of using a finance software - Essential.

- Be able to work on their own initiative.
- A willingness to take a hands on approach and have an operational finance approach.
- Excellent people management Skills.

- Confident to challenge.
- Strong excel skills to an advance level.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and commercials skills.
- Experience of working at an executive level.
- Discretion, with the ability to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive information.
