An exciting opportunity has become available to work within a beautiful early years setting in the Thornbury area.

Facilities include 3 large play rooms and a sensory room which features multiple stimuli to encourage children to explore their senses safely and with a sense of adventure.

The team are very well-established, with most staff members having worked at this lovely setting for multiple years

This exciting opportunity would see you performing the following duties day-to-day;
- Creating exciting learning opportunities for children and following their interests
- Working as part of a team to develop room routine and curriculum
- Observing, record-keeping, assessing and planning
- Promoting health, well-being and placing emphasis on the benefits of outdoor play
- Adhering to children’s personal care and ensuring a safe, hygienic environment
- Working within the law to safeguard children’s rights
- Creating positive partnerships with parents and carers

**About you**

**Working with Long-term Teachers**:
We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.

**Salary**: From £22,360.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends'Duties:

- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum for children in the early years
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Monitor and assess children's progress and development
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being of each child
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children

Qualifications:

- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear background check

**Skills**:

- Knowledge of early childhood education theories and practices
- Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with young children
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs of each child
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools for teaching purposes

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £82.00-£87.00 per day
