**Listening and Speaking - Higher Level**
Able to follow a conversation or discussion through the medium of Welsh and English on a professional level and discuss general day to day topics in the field in order to present information and express opinions.
Able to give a pre-prepared presentation and respond to any comments and questions on it in Welsh or English

**Reading and Understanding-Intermediate Level**
Understand everyday correspondence on familiar issues at work.
Understand longer reports in Clear Welsh and be able to pick up the main points. (help may be required with the vocabulary)

**Writing-Intermediate Level**

**Purpose of the post**:

- Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the centre of everything we do.
- Assist to supervise the Museum and Highgate and respond to general enquiries from visitors.

**Responsibility for functions**:
**Main duties**:

- Greet the public.
- Sell entry tickets
- Sell shop merchandise.
- Supervise the site
- Assist in the library and respond to enquiries
- Assist and guide groups including school groups.
- Open and close the buildings.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy
- Work within the Council’s policies in relation to equal opportunities and equality
- Responsible for self-development.
- Responsibility for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management standards and guidelines. Ensure that personal information is handled in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
- Any other equivalent duties at the request of the line manager.Responsibility for self-development.
- Ensure compliance with workplace Health and Safety regulations in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.
- Operate within the Council’s equal opportunities and equality policies.
- Responsible for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management standards and guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation.

**Special circumstances**:

- Need to be available 21 March - 28 October. 10.30am - 5.00pm, and in October 11am -4.00pm and occasionally November-March. Working on weekends, bank holidays and during the evening as required.
