Procurement Manager needed to support newly formed subsidiary of a Public Health Care organisation.
**Your new company**
This company plays a vital role within the larger organisation, providing end-to-end procurement and supply chain services for two separate Trusts. Wholly owned by both trusts, with this company you'll be part of the larger family and contributing to improvinghealthcare across the region.
Their services include strategic sourcing, value creation, tendering, contract and inventory management, distribution, and materials management for hospitals in Basingstoke, Winchester, Andover, and Southampton. You'll be part of a dynamic and like-minded teamworking with stakeholders on challenging targets to drive innovation, value and efficiency from procurement and supply.
**Your new role**
You will have a personal responsibility for the delivery of several key strategic contracts and manage the Procurement Specialists (your direct reports) in the delivery of your Workplan encompassing a portfolio of procurement contracts and projects across variouscategory areas and to be responsible for the purchase of the associated goods and services. You will foster a professional and responsive client service and build collaborative relationships with all stakeholders to deliver your Workplan. You will work closelywith the Procurement Specialists and others within the team to contribute to a challenging CIP Workplan by influencing, implementing change, collaborating, and identifying opportunities to drive greater value.
- To lead the procurement strategic sourcing programme for a range of categories, taking the lead and contributing significantly to the delivery of allocated procurement projects
- To provide advice on procurement issues to all staff involved in the purchasing of goods and services
- To support the Senior Procurement Manager in the delivery of cost and efficiency savings, by analysing current spend information to develop in house and collaborative procurement strategies and workplans
- Maintain accurate management information reporting covering your key procurement activity areas eg Workplan, CIP reporting, additional project work
- Ensure effective use of all WPL procurement related systems and procedures to support efficient working practice

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Level 6 Professional Diploma CIPS
- Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or appropriate professional institute or relevant experience and compliance with the Code of Ethics
- UK procurement directives and legislation
- evidence an understanding of the changes that the UK's exit from Europe will have on Public Sector Procurement
- Evidence project management of large complex procurementl projects, involving stakeholders from many disciplines/departments in client organisations and multiple suppliers
- Evidence influencible skills in support of contract management to achieve optimum service levels and continuous value for money challenge
- Evidence of complex negotiating, influencing and persuasion skills
- Evidence advanced IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and an ability to quickly learn and engage new e-procurement tools and systems
- Car driver, with full driving licence, or ability to travel independently between hospital sites or for necessary business visits - Travel will be required to ensure that personal contact is maintained with stakeholders. This may mean regular visits toother NHS organisations and other parts of the public sector
- Health and physical abilities sufficient for the post (if necessary with reasonable adjustments with respect to the Equality Act/Disability Discrimination Act)
