Landmarks is an independent specialist day college for young people with learning disabilities and difficulties. The college offers a wide range of programmes that are tailored to each individual’s needs.

Landmarks operates from several sites across; Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, with our main site located in Eckington, S21 4EF.

Landmarks has several satellite provisions in Rotherham, Nottingham city Centre and a “real-life” hospitality and catering facilitate in Rainworth, Mansfield. These environments enable us to provide a range of personal and vocational training opportunities including:

Our staff are required to work on a range of different sites, including; college campuses, employer’s premises or communities local to your learners home - therefore willingness to travel is essential. There may be a requirement to transport learners in your own car, insurance implications are reimbursed. Mileage and expenses are provided for travel during the working day.

**Main Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not restricted to:
**1. Facility Management**:

- Liaising with the maintenance team, ensure they are aware of repair and maintenance needs in good time.
- Ensure the environment is kept in good order, tidy and staff take ownership for leaving classrooms as they find them.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Manage the deployment, recharge and upkeep of ICT equipment.

**2. Security and Safety**:

- Implement and maintain campus security measures, including access control and surveillance.
- Maintain emergency protocols, conducting fire drills and assessing Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans as necessary.
- Train staff and learners on safety procedures and policies as directed by the Health and Safety Manager.

**3. Operational Leadership**:

- Ensure learners and staff follow their timetables as prescribed and escalate any issues to curriculum management.
- Ensure enrichment occurs during non-classroom activities.
- Ensure learner accident and incidents are investigated and reported to senior managers as appropriate.
- Conduct de-briefs, completing records and assigning actions.

**4. Event Coordination**:

- Working with marketing and recruitment, ensure the building is accessible and presentable.
- Coordinate logistics, staffing, and equipment requirement for events.
- Working with the relevant Curriculum Manager manage the Rotherham monthly Youth Club.

**5. Budget Management**:

- Be responsible for a petty cash fund.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.

**6. Supervision and Staff Management**:

- Assume management responsibility over all staff whilst on site, directing them as required and escalating / supporting issues.
- Attend to Cover needs as directed by the relevant manager.

**7. Learner Services**:

- Act as a first port of call for learners at Rotherham seeking learner services. Liaise with the Curriculum Management team to ensure learners are sign posted correctly.

**8. Sustainability**:

- Ensure college wide sustainability initiatives are always followed, liaising with Health and Safety as necessary.

**9. Communication and Reporting**:

- Maintain clear and effective communication with college leaders, staff and learners.
- Prepare regular reports on the status of the campus, its operations and initiatives.

**10. Emergency response and crisis management**:

- Lead and coordinate responses to campus emergencies and crises.
- Ensure that staff is trained and prepared for various emergency scenarios.

**11. Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance campus operations.

**12. Pastoral Management**:

- Demonstrate high quality support for learners
- Manage all aspects of the learner experience; RARPA, accredited and non-accredited learning outcomes
- Responsible for maintaining and updating personal learner files
- Liaise with parents/carers on learner issues where appropriate
- Undertake training as and when necessary for your job role
- Participate in the staff appraisal and supervision process
- To work with other tutors to ensure accredited commitments, goals and transition aims are achieved
