Sense is currently recruiting for a Donated Stock Area Coordinator to work 37.5 hours per week based from our donation station in East Grinstead, covering the South of England, on a permanent basis.
Each year, over four million people buy an item from us, so our shops play a pivotal role in raising funds to make a difference to the lives of those who find it difficult to communicate and connect with the world.
The Donated Stock team are accountable for driving additional growth in volume and quality of our stock generation of clothing, accessories, bric-a-brac, books & media, and furniture to support delivery of offer across our estate of shops to drive income generation.
The Donated Stock team are responsible for collaborating with area managers and shop teams to grow the volume and quality of stock generated by our shops and within the shop’s local communities.
In collaboration with the Area Manager team and other departments the Donated Stock team support our shops in delivering strong offers that align with our principles and maximise income generation for the people we support through effective stock management and distribution processes. Key duties include:
Identify and build long term relationships with local businesses, organisations, and individuals to create new stock generation partners in order to grow our volume of saleable stock.
Actively support and coach shops within the area to identify and implement opportunities within their local communities to deliver growth in engagement and stock generation levels.
Engage with the local community and promote Sense and build an increased awareness of the work we do and inspire people to take action to support us.
Carry out activities which promote stock generation within the area and where appropriate promote volunteering and fundraising with the local community. Key skills and experience required:
Extensive experience of building successful internal and external relationships in a customer service environment.
Experience of managing varying priorities effectively.
A demonstratable commitment to enabling an inclusive and diverse workforce to reflect our community.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage effectively and professionally with the public.
Excellent ability to keep clear and accurate records.
Experience of data analysis and report writing demonstrating good literacy and numeracy
