Hucknall, United Kingdom Change Grow Live Full time

Overview:
At Change Grow Live we believe group support is a great way to engage and connect with those who use our services. We therefore offer a wide range of structured and peer lead group work programmes including Foundations of Recovery, we also hope to launch SMART Recovery in the near future.

As a Group Work Support Volunteer, you will play an instrumental role in supporting the facilitator in the planning and preparation of groups. This will include promoting groups to service users, reminding them of up and coming sessions and engaging with those who do not attend.

You will be provided with training and supported to eventually take the lead in delivering some of syllabus and provide one to one support to clients within the group setting. You will also have the opportunity to play a key role in the review and development of session materials including content, handouts and delivery.

You will always be 'partnered' in group situations, so support is always on hand.

**Responsibilities**:
This role is primarily carried out during week days and during office hours. There is no specific minimum or maximum time requirement, your supervisor would expect to know in advance when you intended to devote time to volunteering via prior discussion.

Because of the nature of group work and programming, there is an expectation that you would be present regularly to volunteer with a particular group and regular venue. The principal 'Hub' location for these roles is Vine Terrace, Hucknall, but we run groups at community venues too e.g. Beeston, Arnold and the YMCA Centre, Nottingham.

Interview discussions will be held soon after the closing date. Newly recruited volunteers must undertake training before deployment, which may not take place at your ultimate volunteering Hub or place that you will be volunteering at, it will be within manageable travel distance via public or your own transport. We reimburse out of pocket expenses incurred whilst volunteering.

**Interview Date**:
10/04/2023
