Reception/administration Volunteer

**Overview**:
As a Volunteer Receptionist and Administrator you will play a key role is supporting the service, ensuring that communication between staff, service uses and partner agencies runs smoothly. This includes answering queries, composing letters and general office duties such as photocopying, filing and scanning calls and directing enquires.

Of equal importance is your ability in supporting, guiding and advising sometimes anxious and hesitant visitors who will benefit from your approachable, non judgemental and calm demeanour.

You will be a valued member of the administration team, supporting them in various administrative roles. On-the-job training will be provided - you will need an organised approach and a willingness to learn.

**Responsibilities**:
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

We will support you by nominating a dedicated supervisor, and have colleagues available who you can approach for day-to-day advice and guidance. In return for the time you give you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You’ll be making a real difference too.

Some of the induction content is via online modules, there are two classroom training days which you must attend as part of your induction, these will not necessarily be hosted at Hucknall (Mansfield, and Worksop are used, but each is an easy train ride). The service not open during the evenings or at weekends.
