Web Designer

**The Role**:
A fantastic opportunity to join Venn Digital as a Web Designer.

As part of the Web Design Team, you will be our go-to creative for new websites and existing projects. You will work closely with our studio team (Front-End Developers, Back-End Developers, Creative Strategists, Graphic Designers, Project Managers and more team members) to produce high quality, engaging, modern websites. Your role will be to deliver full design concepts and mock-ups whilst collaborating with developers to help quickly and effectively deliver your designs. You will understand how our clients operate commercially and how our services can support them in meeting with their business goals.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- To take a design brief from new and existing clients, alongside a project manager, and to fully understand, question and propose a practical solution.
- Understanding our client’s brand so that it is reflected through all digital design collateral.
- UI design with strong emphasis on UX principles to ensure the solution provides a simple user experience that delivers commercial results.
- Creating layered design concepts using Figma that are in-line with the design brief
- Creating innovative, accessible design concepts including animations and interactive elements
- Designing and maintaining our website component library
- Ensure every design produced, whether it’s a banner or new website template, delivers an effective experience across desktop, mobile and tablet.
- Working with your team to ensure the web project is delivered to the brief, on time and within budget.
- Working closely with a project manager to ensure your works meets with our design standards.
- Staying on-top of the latest design practices and industry trends, constantly looking for inspiration, innovation and ideas and sharing your knowledge with the team at the end of each week. As an evolving business there may be requirements to learn new skills, programs, techniques etc so an eager to learn attitude is a bonus.

**We'd love to hear from you if you have**:

- Proven experience designing websites and interactive web components
- A spectacular web design portfolio that you have personally worked on A passion for excellent Web Design, UI/UX Design Principles and all things design.

**The Requirements/Key Skills**:

- Proficiency using Figma alongside the Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on XD, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong understanding of UX/UI Website Design; Graphic design and web asset creation
- Experience in UX design, Visual design, interface design, layouts, and graphics.
- Strong hands-on experience creating website wireframes, and prototypes.
- Proactively contribute to both plans and development of client sites.
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Effective time management skills
- Experience working alongside developers
- Experience working in an Agency environment - Fast paced
- Highly motivated - a self-starter with bags of initiative who gets things done
- Immaculate attention to detail
- Delivery and deadline focused
- A design for development approach Commercial - always looking to optimise value

**Nice To Have**:

- Experience creating collateral material like social media assets
- Experience with CMS and publishing platforms
- Experience with HTML & CSS Experience with designing for print
