We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern is Monday to Friday (37.5 hours).

To provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to a health based Social Work department and members of the Integrated Discharge Team.

A key component of the post will be to collect, collate and input data and provide statistical information on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis relating to Discharge Management GG&C.

The aims of the Integrated Discharge Service are to provide whole systems approach to discharge management for all patient groups within Glasgow Acute Hospitals. The integrated structure ensures smooth and seamless patient journeys, minimising gaps, avoiding patient delays in hospital, continuous monitoring of bed management and providing clarity of roles within single team framework. To improve and monitor performance across the raft of discharge activity. To provide appropriate admission avoidance, early and supported discharge services, particularly to older people.

Knowledge, Training and Experience:

- HNC/SVQIII in Secretarial Studies/Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in use of software systems including Microsoft Office Packages.
- Advanced keyboard skills with good typing speed and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate all-round professional attitude especially under pressure with deadlines and conflicting interests.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- High standard of English required either through experience or educational qualification.
