Brighton, United Kingdom Datacove Full time

**About us**

Datacove are a Brighton based Data and analytics consultancy, founded by Jeremy Horne during the middle of the global pandemic in 2020. In over three years, we have grown to become a recognised brand in the city, not least through our technology community initiatives bringing together coders in both the R and Python languages.

We specialise in three core areas, specifically:

- **Customer analytics **to unearth your most valuable customers and tell you where you can find more of them
- **Marketing analytics **to unlock insights and help maximise campaign impact
- **Process automation **taking your most time commanding tasks and removing that time and effort forever

Our passion for mathematics, statistics and technology means we tailor every solution to fit our clients’ data rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach. In fact, we’re so passionate, we just can’t keep it all to ourselves We are a firm believer in sharing knowledge and training analysts of the future with our bespoke courses and free online tutorials.

The plan going forward? It’s simple. We want to make sure that every brand can become smarter with their information and inspired to love data and analytics.

**About the role**

To support our ongoing business development and an expanded events schedule for 2024, we’re looking for a marketing and event co-ordinator to work with the team on event publicity and preparation, alongside our company wide marketing efforts such as newsletter compilation, website updates and potential business networking. This role would ideally suit a graduate or somebody looking to take their first steps into marketing.

Whilst this role is advertised as remote, we are ideally looking for somebody local to Brighton and Hove and that would be happy to collaborate face-to-face semi-regularly, including (as a minimum) a half day monthly team meeting.

2024 will see the expansion of these technology communities as we launch our London and Bristol events, alongside growing our establishing communities in Brighton and Manchester and the hosting of a large-scale conference to bring all of these groups (and more) together at the end of the summer.

Our marketing efforts are currently performed ad-hoc by our team of analysts and we’re now looking for a dedicated individual to take on some of the regular tasks, such as social media promotion, slide preparation and newsletter distribution.

The day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Advertising and promoting our events through social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Meetup, and Twitter
- Preparing the holding slide presentation for each event, based on pre-defined templates
- Compiling and distributing the company newsletter and other related communications
- Maintaining the Datacove website to ensure it is up to date with our latest events, blogs and news
- Developing video and photo content for the company YouTube page and other social media profiles
- Connecting and networking with potential business contacts and event attendees
- Creating advertising material using tools such as Canva or Adobe Illustrator

**About you**
- Strong writing and content management skillset, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Solid presentation, communication and networking skills to assist in the development of both business contacts and community initiatives
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Previous experience of creating social media content through platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube
- Some experience with design tools, e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Publisher or similar

There are also several skills that would be desirable - but none of which are essential to the day-to-day role itself:

- Some knowledge of data and analytics and associated technical content
- Experience in WordPress and / or Elementor for website builds and maintenance
- An understanding of tools and technologies to create and edit videos, e.g. through Adobe or Microsoft

**Package**
- Fully remote, although occasionally and on at least one half-day per month, we will meet in our co-working space (PLATF9RM Brighton) to collaborate on projects and business planning (travel / accommodation expenses not included)
- Flexible 15-hour week (with some core hours to be agreed in advance)
- 12 days of holiday per year (based on 28 days FTE)
- Additional day of out of office each year to volunteer with a charity of your choice
- Travel (and where necessary, accommodation) expenses to / from client meetings and company run events fully covered by the company

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £10,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 15 per week

**Benefits**:

- Additional leave
- Company pension
- Work from home

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme
- Commission pay

Application question(s):

- Will you now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status?
- Would
