Executive, Electric Racing Partnerships

McLaren recently joined the grid of the FIA ABB Formula E World Championship and the start of the Generation 3 era of all-electric street racing, as NEOM McLaren Formula E. This bolstered the team’s endeavour in electric motorsport that already sees participation of NEOM McLaren Extreme E in the current FIA Extreme E Championship.
Collectively known as NEOM McLaren Electric Racing, we are a fast-developing organisation that holds sustainable change at the forefront of what we do. We are looking for a passionate and proactive individual to join our team as we grow and develop our capability.
**Purpose of the Role**
Working across the Electric Racing partnerships, including the NEOM title account, this purpose of this role is to support the Partnership Management team in the operational fulfilment of key Partners, such that the contractual rights are fully leveraged and maximised, while the long-term individual and company relationships are created and maintained.
We are looking for someone with a passion for our sport (and what it stands for), but also someone that has experience working with brands and on sponsorship and marketing campaigns within sport/entertainment. You should be prepared to bring and show your passion, enthusiasm and prior experience for this role as part of the recruitment process.
**Role Dimensions**
- Reports to the Head of Electric Racing Partnerships
- 70% day-to-day operational delivery of Electric Racing partnership portfolio across Formula E and Extreme E, including the NEOM Title Partnership account
- 30% wider Partnership Marketing operational responsibilities and support of Senior Leadership Team business activities
- Travel both within the UK and internationally may be required and consequently flexibility in working hours should be expected
**Principal Accountabilities**
**Day-to-day partnership management**
- Support Electric Racing Partnership Management colleagues in ensuring the successful delivery of the partner’s 360 activation plans, maximising partner’s rights to achieve their objectives and KPIs
- Organise and coordinate key assets of the partnership such as supporting on the delivery of merchandise, internal events, asset bookings, social media and digital campaigns. Ensure all these assets are delivered on brief and with the required branding
- Various administrative tasks such as tracking asset usage, creating and maintaining partner profiles, developing toolkits and rights activation proposals
**Partnership Marketing operational responsibilities**
- Lead in keeping partnership marketing project status documents up to date
- Track and ensure key milestones are communicated across multi-functional department and with partners
- Support various marketing administration or additional duties relevant to Electric Racing partnerships as required Coordinate all partnership documentation for race weekends, including pre-race partner briefing pack, driver and stakeholder appearance briefs, collating and managing filming & photography requests
**Support to Senior Leadership Business activities**
- Learn and develop a general understanding of partner’s business strategies, objectives, target growth markets, competitors and KPI’s / metrics - producing monthly asset utilisation reports for senior management
- Support SLT activities involving partners, key stakeholders/visitors and some internal engagement activities
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Demonstrate a good understanding of and capability in delivering partnership marketing activities, sponsorship, brand/product marketing, sales, and communications campaigns - this includes hospitality programmes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise workload and respond to partner briefs on time and within budget essential
- Ability to analyse problems and develop solutions with a practical, can-do mindset
- Knowledge of, and passion for the sports marketing, entertainment, and sponsorship landscape
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written paying close attention to detail given frequent interaction with several stakeholders
- Fluent in English. Other languages would be an advantage
