**A superb opportunity to join a leading Health & Safety Consultancy with national reach.**

As Head of Health & Safety Operations will be the first point of contact for the senior management team in relation to any reports required or client care issues. You will be required to attend head office on a weekly basis in Nottingham and will be expected to attend client visits in the region and occasionally nationally in your capacity as Head of Health & Safety.

**Role Overview**:

- To actively manage and mentor a small team of professionally qualified Health & Safety Consultants.
- To ensure all work is legally compliant with current legislation.
- To monitor, evaluate and motivate the team and the activity levels with a view to improving performance and driving the business forward in terms of additional revenue produced and customer satisfaction.
- Manage a client base delivering health and safety reviews in accordance with the terms and conditions of their contract.
- Must have the ability to solve problems in a logical and cost-effective way; also, the ability to prioritise workloads across the team.
- A good command of written English, with the ability to produce letters, reviews, and other reports to a high standard.
- Must have experience of recruiting, inducting, supporting, and training staff of all levels and maintain professional qualifications for all staff.

**About You**:

- A minimum of three years post qualification management experience at **CMIOSH level.**
- Experience in managing a team of professionally qualified people.
- Proven track record regarding advising on all health and safety matters across a wide variety of industries.
- The ability to communicate effectively with clients, enforcement authorities and employees at all levels.
- Member of International Institute of Risk and Safety Management - MIIRSM. or other alternative professional bodies (not essential but highly desirable).
