**Introduction**

A Researcher, or Research Officer oversees the gathering of specific information, depending on what is required, to reach and accomplish objectives.

**Responsibilities**

Once research has been compiled, the information gathered can be used to create in-house resources, such as training documents, Information booklets, Mental health support information, and more.

Researchers will often need to work together, sharing their findings and information between one another to produce resources. Research Officers would be required to hold meetings between them, working collaboratively on projects.

Collating information into a concise format to produce resources for staff and the public.

Researchers often work within a team to plan objectives, Identifying methods of research and collection techniques. They correlate their findings, produce reports, discuss the research and provide recommendations to the relevant departments the research has been collated for at the end.

**Here are examples of Researcher duties**:

- Identify sources of funding and submit these to the fundraising team or directors.
- Plan and perform surveys with the public.
- Collect information for the creation of resources.
- Present research results and proposals to the board of directors.
- Collaborate with various departments.
- Meet deadlines.

**What's Needed?**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to write reports for the CEO.
- Computer literacy.
- Knowledge of data collection methods.
- Project management.
- Ability to work within a team and follow the instructions of managers, but also demonstrate independent working.

- Minimum grade 4/5 (c) in English Language and Literature.
- Bachelors.
- Psychology, Psychotherapy, Mental Health Technician.
