**Job Title: Customer Services & Operations Team Leader**
**Reports To: Sales Director**
**Location**:Bridgend**
**Job Purpose**
The Customer Services & Operations Team Leader will oversee the day to day running of the customer services and logistics departments helping ensure that targets and KPI’s are achieved, maximising income, profitability, and staff / asset utilisation.
Specific duties to include:
- Providing holiday cover for specific areas as required
- Timekeeping, monitoring and authorisation for customer services and logistics staff
- Production and of regular KPI’s to confirm team performance in line with company targets
- Monitoring of customer sales patterns, identification areas of concern
- Ensuring sales and customer services staff are focused on achieving their sales targets on a day-to-day basis.
- Managing and Training Customer Service and Logistics staff
- Setting customer targets and working with the team to meet targets consistently
- Be the main point of contact for customer services/sales and logistics interactions
- Day to day operation of the customer services and logistics team
- Respond to Company web enquiries
- Implementation of instructions issued by the Sales Director and other Senior staff
- Delivery of adhoc projects as requested by senior management
- Staying updated on developments in the customer services and Logistics field
**Accountabilities**:
**People Management**
- To have functional responsibility for the customer services and logistics staff based on site
- To monitor the performance of the customer services and internal sales staff and provide direct feedback and support on an on-going basis, in association with the sales Director.
- To contribute to the identification of personnel requirements and assist in the recruitment and selection process.
- To ensure employees are aware of their targets and are appropriately trained to enable them to deliver these in line with Company requirements.
- To ensure all employees operate in line with relevant legislation and company policies and procedures.
- To ensure quality levels are maintained and that commercial results are within agreed targets.
**Continuing Professional Development**
- To participate in training and development activities to ensure own continuing professional development.
- To carry out self-study to ensure own knowledge remains current as appropriate.
- To continuously reflect on own performance and constantly strive to do better.
- To work to introduce changes to processes and procedures which will enable the company to improve its efficiency and profitability.
- To ensure that technical knowledge and awareness of industry developments enable the Company to achieve its targets, through provision of support for other members of the management team, wherever they are based.

- To assume any other tasks and duties required by the business, commensurate with level of role.
- To model Company expectations through own behaviour and in all verbal and written communications.
- To ensure that Commercial Quotes are produced in a timely manner and in line with agreed targets.
- To contribute to the overall development of the Company.
- Ensure that all objectives and operational plans within own area of responsibility link with the strategy, vision, and objectives of the organisation.
- Comply with and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Motivate and support people within own area to achieve their work and development objectives and provide recognition when they are successful.
- To liaise with purchasing and logistics departments to ensure workflow is maximised and costs minimised.
- Create and maintain a culture within your area that encourages and recognises improved performance, cost savings and increased revenue.
- Communicate regularly, making effective use of a range of different communication methods, with all the people working within your area and show that you listen to what they say.
- Meet commitments made to others.
- Deliver Key Performance Targets as agreed on an annual basis as part of KPI review.
