**Cyber Security Engineer**

My client is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to deliver hands on cyber security services ensuring the smooth delivery of an enterprise-wide Security Operations function including EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability scanning, incident response procedures and playbooksand general information security duties.

Key Accountabilities
- Working with the Cyber Security Team to provide resilience to our threat monitoring and response capability.
- This is a highly technical role, and would require some with a deep knowledge and understanding of attack and exploitation techniques and adversarial TTP’s.
- Set up, monitor and track remediation to all identified vulnerabilities.
- Set up, monitor and respond to security incidents, alerts and breaches.
- Implement and undertake an array of security assurance activities including attack simulations and mapping, exploitation of vulnerabilities to test the adequacy of controls.
- Consult on and input into the redevelopment and regular testing of WWU’s Security Incident Response Plan (for both Cyber IT and Cyber OT).
- Monitor the risk to WWU assets (people, infrastructure, data etc) and ensure compliance monitoring is in place and maintained to a high standard.
- Ensuring a high quality and cadence of threat intelligence is actively used to drive improvements and remediation plans.

Technical Skills - Good understanding of M365 security stack, Azure, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud, Security centre and advanced threat hunting.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM and SOC processes and procedures, and the ability to provide actionable roadmaps to improve and mature these processes.
- Experience with MS Sentinel (SIEM). Knowledge of other SIEM platforms advantageous.
- Hands on experience using cyber attack modelling techniques to investigate and analyse breaches and IOA’s.
