The objective of the Engineering and Maintenance Finance team is to ensure financial transparency, reporting, decision support, airline benchmarking and governance on a functional or cross airline level, whilst delivering best value and cost savings acrossa €0.5bn Engineering & Maintenance cost base. The Engineering and Maintenance Finance team is responsible for the financial direction, and driving financial delivery for key operational decisions across all markets.

This role is responsible for leading the accounting, controlling, and business partnering of the cost bases in relation to both the Operational Maintenance and Base Maintenance departments within the Northern Region including all associated labour, overheads& establishment costs. The role will also be responsible for Business Partnering the Head of Base maintenance from a TUI Airline perspective.

This role is critical given the significant cost bases in this area as well as the savings targets that need to be achieved in the coming years. It is a necessity to be able to support the business by improving visibility of costs within the Northern region,tracking the Organisational Design implementation, as well as driving forward new ideas and ways to optimise the current operations.

**ABOUT THE JOB**
- As Finance Manager Aircraft Maintenance Northern Region you will be responsible for the accounting, controlling, and business partnering activities relating to both the Operational maintenance and Base Maintenance cost bases as well as the Overheadsand Establishment in the Northern Region.
- The role will take financial responsibility for the forecasting, balance sheet and actual performance of the Hangar 61 cost base. This role will be fundamental in working with the base maintenance function to strive for a more efficient and productivemaintenance facility and lowering the man hour rate achieved. Part of this work will involve understanding and breaking down the Hangar 61 cost base in detail and benchmarking this against internal and external facilities.
- A key part of the base maintenance aspects of the role will also involve working closely with colleagues in Belgium too to ensure finance and operational alignment between the two base maintenance facilities. This role will take the lead in this developmentas they key base maintenance business partner across TUI Airline.
- The role will also have financial responsibility and provide business partnering service for Operational Maintenance in the Northern Region. This includes the line maintenance teams in the UK & Nordic as well as the MOCC support in the UK. This role willbe key to delivering and identifying strategic initiatives in this area in collaboration with business partners.
- This role will provide key commercial support on any Base, Operational Maintenance or Overheads contract negotiations, tenders, and business cases working with SM&P, and Engineering.
- A key part of the role will be to optimize the financial set-up of the northern region for greater efficiency and cost control. This includes reviewing workloads in Nordics and UK as well as harmonizing and standardizing these tasks where possible to createone team and remove duplication.
- The role will also be the key person responsible for all overheads & establishment costs within the Northern region in E&M. This also involves the FTE reporting to ensure the FTE is under control and in line with OD targets. In this aspect of the roletheir may also be some co-ordination required with other airline data to also provide an overview at an aviation level.
- You will work closely with the northern region finance team as you will be responsible for submission of timely information such as P&L forecasting, Budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, and risk and opps monitoring.
- Your role will also be a key part of the E&M Finance leadership team and support the finance change agenda throughout aviation. This journey will include the creation of one finance team across engineering and maintenance working in a standardized waywhere possible enabling finance to delivery best in class finance support.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Qualified Accountant, ideally with 3+ years of PQE
- Experience of working within the aviation industry
- Management experience
- Eager to learn and a born self-educator
- Structured and coordinated, and excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to plan & organize projects as well as coordinate between different parties.
- Ability to identify opportunities and optimization of costs
- A strong and effective communicator with the proven ability to influence.
- Strong business partnering skills and experience working in a matrix structure
- This role requires strong business English (written & spoken).
