Royal Free London Library Services (RFLLS) are part of LCCOS, and consist of a partnership of two health libraries, the Royal Free Hospital Medical Library (RFHML) and the Barnet Hospital Library (BHL).

RFLLS support staff and students from the UCL School of Life and Medical Sciences (SLMS), and from the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, working and studying across the Royal Free London Hospitals. Both the School and the Hospital have a long tradition of innovation and excellence in medical education, research, and clinical practice.

The RFLLS libraries provide a mixture of quiet and group working spaces, and computing and teaching areas for both organisations, which are supported by library staff. RFLLS facilitates access to an extensive range of online information resources and delivers a programme of library and information skills training for individuals and groups.

**About the role**:
We are looking for two (part-time) Evening and Weekend Library Assistants based at the Royal Free Hospital Medical Library. Working hours:
**Post 1: Monday - Wednesday 17.00-22.00 & Saturday 10.00-18.00 (22 hours)**

**Post 2: Thursday-Friday 19.00-22.00 & Saturday 10.00-18.00 (13 hours)**

Duties will include staffing the Library Issue Desk on a rota basis, answering enquiries, troubleshooting local technology issues, and providing administrative support for all library facilities and functions. The post holders will also assist with maintaining a safe and tidy environment for all library users and help with closing the library at the end of the shift.

This is an on-campus role. It is not suitable for regular remote working.

This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.

**About you**:
You will have experience of working in a customer focused environment, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be committed to customer service excellence. Excellent IT skills are also a requirement of the posts as well as the ability to work independently and possess a flexible approach to your work.

Experience of working in a library or information environment is desirable but not essential.
