What you'll be doing...

*You would be the first point of contact for customers seeking help with their housing, helping resolve the customers issues where possible or ensuring they are referred to another service quickly if needed
*Providing administrative support to the Housing Team ensuring that customers have seamless access to a wide range of support.
*Responding to routine correspondence and enquiries from members of the public, elected members, suppliers and staff.

You must have...

*A good general level of education, including GCSE Maths and English (Grades A-C) or equivalent
*Some basic administrative experience in a similar or related role
*Good IT skills, with a knowledge of a range of computer packages, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
*Evidence of confident communication skills and telephone manner
*Evidence of organisational skills and working to tight deadlines, while demonstrating attention to detail and ability to multi-task
*The ability to demonstrate tact, discretion and confidentiality
*A proactive approach to work, and a willingness to develop skills and knowledge, to be able to provide business support across council services, to deliver good outcomes to our customers
*Ability to work as part of a wider team.
