Job title: Grants Officer

Location: London with flexible working

Reporting To: Executive Director

Contract: Part time 3 days/week or 22.5 hours per week

**Salary**: £30,000-£32,000 pro rata (£18,000-£19,200)

Date Closes: 30th January 2023

**Role Purpose**:
The Powell Family Foundation (TPFF) is a new charity providing grants to support vision impaired children, young people and their families, to improve their emotional and physical wellbeing, increase their knowledge and skills, promote their independence and enjoy a safe, active and fulfilled life.

This role will be responsible for providing administrative support to TPFF’s grant giving programme. The Grants Officer will be involved throughout the grant process from initial enquiry through to monitoring and evaluation. This is an exciting new role that will be key to the success of TPFF’s grant programme.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Main Responsibilities**:

- Provision of assistance to the Executive Director in monitoring the progress of grants awarded and ensuring appropriate evaluation of impact.
- Contributing to the development of evaluation and impact reports, gathering case studies.
- Work with the Financial Controller to ensure that records are kept updated with grant allocations, suppliers and payment data to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
- Maintaining basic records of grants, liaising with the Financial Controller and supporting the Executive Director.
- Supporting the Executive Director with ad hoc administrative assignments, and to represent TPFF as necessary.

- Proven IT skills using Microsoft Office. (Essential)

**Knowledge**
- Demonstrable knowledge of good customer care. (Essential)
- Managing a customer database. (Desirable)
- Understanding and use of social media platforms. (Desirable)
- Knowledge of the challenges faced by vision impaired children and young people. (Desirable)

**Experience**
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a customer service environment or in a public facing role. (Essential)
- Working with children and families. (Desirable)
- Working for a grant making organisation. (Desirable)
- Working with committees and Trustees. (Desirable)
