Apprentice Inventory Controller

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our busy Inventory Team at our Distribution Centre in St Columb and begin their career with us
As an apprentice, you will learn how to maintain product data, product life cycle, purchase orders and stock integrity, eventually developing to become an essential part of our team, helping provide a high quality and professional service to our stakeholders, both internal and external.
**The Role**:
You will undertake a 30-month ‘Supply Chain Practitioner’ apprenticeship training program that focuses on the ‘Fast-Moving Consumer Goods’ sector. This is a nationally recognised level 3 qualification, designed to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours through a combination of academic training sessions and practical ‘on the job’ experience.
As you develop in your role, some of your key responsibilities will include maintaining our master data for selected suppliers and products, monitoring and maintaining our current inventory, ensuring quantities that appear on our system are accurate for the planning of purchase, overseeing minimum and maximum stocks levels, identifying trends, controlling the internal movements of our own brand products through the business to maintain efficient supply. You will work with our depot managers to ensure the depot stock holding profiles are sufficient to business demand and work with our purchasing managers and suppliers to create an efficient and sustainable supply chain.
A**bout you**:
- Be passionate about the food & beverage and brewing industry
- Be keen to develop a career within a fast-moving consumer goods business, while working towards a recognised qualification.
- Have already achieved a level 4 (C) or above pass in both Maths and English at GCSE.
- Have an excellent level of numeracy skills and be experience in using excel
- Have an analytical mindset and the ability to interpret data and help develop strategy.
- Have great attention to detail and the ability to meticulously follow processes/procedures.
- Be a clear and confident communicator who is well organised and possesses the ability to keep their stakeholders updated and informed.
- Have excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Have the ability to work in a dynamic environment, achieve targets and work to deadlines.
