We have a fantastic opportunity for a Wellbeing & Engagement Officer to join ‘Next Steps’ at Horton Housing. You will work agile and flexibly to provide a high-level service, including some evenings and weekends. The salary is £10.90 per hour £7957.02 per annum 14 hours a week (part time).

Next Steps Calderdale is for people who have experienced homelessness or rough sleeping. We provide supported accommodation in Halifax and will work alongside individuals to help achieve housing, health and wellbeing, and employment goals.

**The role**: The strength-based approach is about enabling people to use their talents and abilities to solve their own problems. You will work with people to build their confidence to enable them to do this. You will work alongside individuals to:

- Provide personalised coaching for those going through the toughest of life’s transitions
- Broker opportunities from local communities that nurture and develop the talents and abilities of each person
- Facilitate individual development so people transition out of their situations and take control of their lives within their communities
- Work with a range of organisations and volunteers to assist people in building new and positive friendships and networks
- Encourage the development of community relations that will provide new opportunities for individuals to develop their talents and expand their network

The role requires flexibility, working on a rota that will include evenings and weekend work. **Closing Date**: 25th June 2023 **Interview dates: June/July 2023
