Pcamhs Support Worker

Following recent transformation of CAMHS, we are looking to recruit a support worker to deliver low intensity psychological interventions on a group and individual basis in our PCAMHS team. The role provides a non-registrant with the opportunity to further develop clinical skills of working with children, young people and their parents/caregivers experiencing mild to moderate levels of distress.
The post holder will have excellent communication skills, able to develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, CAMHS colleagues a and staff from education, local authority and the third sector.
There will be opportunities to undertake training and increase understanding. The post holder will be expected to take full advantage of all training and development opportunities.
- Undertake short term group and 1:1 therapeutic interventions under supervision in clinic based settings.
- Provide a range of information and support for evidence based, high volume, low intensity psychological treatments face to face, video or telephone.
- Support children, young people and their caregivers with a common mental health presentations in the self-management of their recovery using guided self help.
- Adhere to an agreed job plan relating to number of client contacts offered and clinical sessions undertaken.
