Job Introduction **The Service**The Homeless and Housing Options service is a County wide service offering advice and assistance to individuals who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. The team covers the whole of the Northumberland area.
**Requirements of The Job**
- You must have a good standard of education to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with effective IT skills.
- You should have detailed working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation including The Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 & Landlord & Tenant Law
- You must have a sound understanding of housing policies and procedures in a public sector environment, and the ability to provide initial advice regarding finance and welfare benefits is required.
- A relevant professional would be desirable.
- This post involves regular travel throughout the County therefore you must be able to meet the transport requirements.
- When required you will also be on call for out of office hours emergency calls for homeless applicants.
