Wallington, United Kingdom The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust Full time

The pursuit of excellence lies at the heart of everything we do here at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. No matter what achieve, we're always striving to do more.

We are looking to build on the existing Central Referrals Service and create an expanded centralised team to manage referrals, triage and provide an accessible and consistent point of contact for patients with general and booking enquiries.

The role will be based in Carew House, Wallington. Carew House is immediately outside Wallington Station, with good train links in to both Surrey and London, and a short walk from the high street.

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust actively encourages employees to continue their professional development and offers a range of benefits including a car lease scheme, cycle to work scheme, and a staff counselling service.

The Central Referrals Office (CRO) is the central point for all NHS referrals coming into the Royal Marsden Trust. The office deals with both the processing of referrals and queries that arise from new referrals. It checks and processes referral data to ensure the referral information recorded is accurate and complete, and that this is of a high standard of data quality and processed in a timely manner to ensure compliance with government waiting times.

The Central Referrals Office identifies any queries regarding eligibility for NHS Treatment and ensures adherence to the correct process for referrals received from other parts of the UK and countries with which we have a reciprocal agreement.

It establishes and maintains professional relationships with medical secretaries, outpatients, medical staff, and other relevant departments to ensure the needs of the stakeholder are met.

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is a world-leading cancer centre. Our role is to offer our patients the best cancer care available anywhere in the world, and to continue to make a global contribution to finding better ways of diagnosing and treating cancer. We employ over 4,500 staff in a diverse range of careers including nursing, medical, science, radiography, pharmacy, occupational therapy, finance and administrative services. At The Royal Marsden, we deal with cancer every day, so we understand how valuable life is. When people entrust their lives to us, they have the right to demand the very best. That's why the pursuit of excellence lies at the heart of everything we do.

At the heart of the hospital is our dedicated team.
