The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. Our aim is to make the world a better place, one charge point at the time.

**About the role**

The Head of Land Acquisition will work within Zest’s Sales team to establish and nurture a sustainable growth pipeline by sourcing new relationships and evolving existing partnerships with key landowners, property agents, developers, and property segment stakeholders. We are looking for an individual who can step into this team ready to take on new challenges. We value strong people who can build new relationships quickly and leverage existing ones to achieve mutually beneficial goals.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Identifying suitable land opportunities (both immediately available and sites that will be marketable soon) for development opportunities; both for purchase and lease.
- Investigate opportunities and identifying the key contacts to negotiate the use of land for EV charge points.
- Liaising with the appropriate Landowner and associated stakeholders to initiate communications.
- Identify and build a suitable pipeline and provide specialist strategic advice in conjunction with the businesses strategy and vision, having regard to national and local planning policy to identify where opportunities/risks exist.
- Manage the negotiation process with vendors, agents and interested parties relating to parcels of land, liaising with solicitors, local authorities, planning entities and other agencies as appropriate.
- Lead and project manage all land and property workstreams of our developments from origination, negotiation through to contract signature.
- Build relationships with primary and 3rd party landowners, maintaining communications with those landowners at each step of the development process, maintaining excellent relationships with all landowners and stakeholders.
- Work closely with the wider team to identify and secure new development opportunities by reaching out to target landowners and reviewing and analysing incoming leads.
- Develop knowledge of the landowners and their sites, which will inform project designs, planning proposals and community and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage/build a team of land acquisition managers.
- Plus, any other duties as required by the leadership team

**Key Experience & Skills**:

- Experience of commercial site acquisition
- Knowledge of property development risks and key aspects of the acquisition process
- Experience of liaising with surveyors, estimators, planning specialist and solicitors
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Organisational and leadership skills
- Strong ability to drive and develop relationships based on customer need
