A purpose-driven international renewable energy developer, constructor and operator is seeking a Land Acquisition Manager based out of Houston TX or Washington DC.

The Role

Secure land for solar projects across Texas and wider US. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate land acquisitions to support the company's growing portfolio of solar energy projects.

  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners, local communities, and stakeholders to facilitate land acquisition for solar projects.
  • Negotiate land purchase agreements, leases, and easements
  • Ensure good terms and full compliance with company objectives and local regulations.
  • Due diligence on prospective sites, including title review, environmental assessments, and coordination with legal and technical teams.
  • Work with permitting specialists to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Report on land acquisition progress, challenges, and potential new sites to senior management.
  • Strong internal collaboration with project development, engineering, and legal to ensure a smooth transition from land acquisition to project execution.
Your Background and Skills
  • 5 years of experience in land acquisition, real estate, or project development, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with landowners and stakeholders.
  • Autonomous and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Drivers' licence and ability to travel.
