Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician Shifts

**An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician (shifts) to join our client, a leading global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum, based at their Burton upon Trent site.**

**This is a full-time temporary role for 12 months working a rotating shift pattern, 07.30am
- 15.30pm & 07.00am
- 15.00pm week on week, Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week paying £28,000 per annum pro rata.**

**MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Adhere to safety, health and environmental policies and procedures
- Collect and submit raw materials, environmental swabs, and product samples to the external laboratory
- Monitor the completeness of product sampling from each line and each delivery of raw materials
- Complete internally all tests required for each product and raw materials
- Document results from testing and report the trends
- Conduct retesting of the product as needed to support quality investigations
- Monitor use and inventories of laboratory chemicals and supplies
- Maintain good housekeeping to ensure laboratory and online quality testing stations' cleanliness
- Store the retained samples of finished goods and raw materials
- Store the records from production quality paperwork in dedicated folders and CoA from suppliers
- Preparing and carrying out the raw materials and finished goods sensory testing
- Monthly reporting of the results from conducted activities
- Performs other supervisor's requests not listed in the job description and closely related to the employer's activities
- Timely sending of the samples for analysis
- Timely and reliable recording and reporting of the results from the analysis
- Ensure the presence an appropriate media (reagents), laboratory equipment and documentation in the laboratory

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Health screening related to work in the food industry
- must be able to perform basic analytical analysis of food
- must have basic knowledge of microbiology in food
- must have analytical skills to pull insights from data, accuracy, and good observations skills
- PC (MSOffice, SAP)
- Ability to work in a team, in the production environment
- should be well organized and be flexible
