**How you'll make a difference**:

- Joining this dynamic team you will make a difference as a Voluntary Sector Commissioning Officer helping to improve the provision of care and support for people living in South Gloucestershire, by building strong partnerships especially with the voluntary sector, social care, housing and health service providers commissioned by the Council.- In the voluntary sector team you will support the co-production of new ways of working to deliver support for individuals. You will also undertake day to day activity to commission and contract manage services delivered by independent and voluntary sector providers. The role includes community engagement, for example engaging with service users (and their carers) and capturing their needs. The post holder may also carry out research, lead small projects and provide peer support.**What will you be doing?**
- You will be working with providers who are commissioned by the Council to provide support to vulnerable adults.
- You’ll be required to monitor contracts to ensure services are delivered and are meeting outcomes
- Working in partnership with a wide range of partners so that we meet our strategic commitments
- Importantly, you will work in co-production with colleagues, partners, people who use services and carers to ensure the services we commission meet outcomes
- Supporting commissioning and partnership working for specific groups of people such as carers, older people or people with learning difficulties
- You will support the quality assurance of the services we commission.
- On occasions you may also carry out research, lead small projects and provide peer support.

- You will have relevant knowledge and experience of working in an organisation that commissions and contracts in social care or similar services and able to demonstrate a flexible approach to working across different areas.
- You will need excellent interpersonal skills to establish a positive relationship with a wide variety of stakeholders’ contacts and customers.
- You will have demonstrable experience of meeting service standards, targets and deadlines, be well organised with excellent time management skills and able to manage competing demands.
- Desirably, you’ll have a degree or professional qualification in social care, health care or business studies
