**Job summary**:
The FCDO pursues our national interests and projects the UK as a force for good in the world. We promote the interests of British citizens, safeguard the UK's security, defend our values, reduce poverty and tackle global challenges with our international partners.
- You will support the communications team and Ministerial press secretaries to plan and deliver Ministerial visits. It will involve liaising closely with a range of communications teams and colleagues in the department to plan activity around Ministerial visits that clearly and effectively communicates the department’s work.
- You will assist with writing briefing material and press notices, work with Private Offices on the programme for visits, and brief senior officials and Spads on proposed plans.
- The role will involve working with a range of different stakeholders to drive forward and agree plans that closely align with the department’s long term communications objectives.
- The role will also require line management of HEOs, managing their work and supporting their career development.
- You will have a passion for foreign affairs, diplomacy and government, and will thrive working on high profile visits around a range of topics.
