Traffic Co-Ordinator

We are looking to recruit a traffic co-ordinator to join our vibrant team based at Media City. This is a role where you will be required to deal with various transport related matters, including allocating jobs to drivers, negotiating rates and keeping track of collection and delivery times to ensure that our service levels are being met. You must have the desire and determination to succeed in a fast-paced office environment. This is the perfect opportunity to join a successful, exciting, and fast-growing company.

We offer an urgent transport service to customers all over the UK. We have a full range of vehicles available from small vans through to articulated trucks. We specialise in the transport of urgent, fragile, abnormal, heavy, high value and difficult to handle goods. We are environmentally friendly with a greener approach to all aspects of our business.

DUTIES INCLUDE
- Updating databases and booking systems with driver references and tracking information.
- Planning and routing deliveries to maximise loads and improve efficiency
- Keeping track of drivers whereabouts to ensure service levels are being met
- Liaising with our customer service department to share information.
- Following up on driver related issues in a confident and professional manner.
- Communicating with drivers regarding the progress of deliveries.

SKILLS REQUIRED
- This is a fast-paced role so an ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards is absolutely essential.
- A confident phone manner
- The ability to be systematic and efficient

QUALIFICATIONS
- GCSE Maths & English (A to C)

WORKING HOURS
- Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 or 09:00 to 18:00 with one hour for lunch.

SALARY
- £25,000
