Grimsby, United Kingdom Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust Full time

This post is based at the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, but with responsibility for services delivered in conjunction with the Breast Screening Service based at Hull.
We are a busy, friendly department with dedicated teams of radiographers and support workers, with a good working relationship with other modalities, clinicians and other service users.
We offer a broad range of Breast Imaging services, working closely with referrers to support patient pathways.
We are actively committed to CPD and PPD and encourage our staff to widen their scope of practice, working with local and regional education providers to deliver formal training in support of this.
In order to maintain a continuously high standard of patient care, maximum flexibility of our workforce is necessary and therefore staff may be required to work flexibly. We consider ourselves a forward thinking department that gives support and provides opportunities for career progression to all our staff.
Once appointed you will access the many benefits of working for the NHS including an excellent pensions scheme, increasing annual leave allowance of up to 41 days per annum (including bank holidays) once you have completed 10 years’ service, multiple discount schemes and the opportunity to develop and grow your skills within the NHS through our excellent training and development schemes.

The breast imaging team is a small, dedicated and friendly team undertaking symptomatic breast work for the North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and Goole regions. The Breast Imaging team undertakes approximately 5,500 mammograms and 7,600 ultrasound examinations per year. The team works with the breast surgical team to provide a comprehensive multidisciplinary service and works closely with the Humberside Breast Screening Service.

We’re a large organisation with three hospitals located in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole. We also provide community services in North Lincolnshire. Our 6,500 members of staff care for and support a population of more than 400,000 people.

We encourage all our staff to innovate and adopt ‘best practice’ so we can deliver excellent care to our patients. We ask staff to live our values; kindness, courage and respect.

We are committed to recruiting the best people to work with us. You could be one of them.

In line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Recruitment & Workforce team will use and hold your personal data for the intended purpose and in line with the Recruitment & Workforce Privacy Statement.

“We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children/vulnerable adults and expect the same commitment from all staff and volunteers”.

Please be aware that all new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check, if it is required for their role.

We are committed to creating and maintaining a fair and supportive working environment and culture, where contributions are fully recognised and valued by all and staff feel empowered to carry out their duties to the best of their abilities. As employers we are committed to promoting and protecting the physical and mental health and well-being of all our staff. This underpins our values as set out in the NHS Constitution, supports us to be an Employer of Choice and ultimately enables our employees to support the effective care of our patients.
